HOMECARE AND NURSING MANAGEMENT
- Patients and clients who need home care depending on the health needs will be assigned a care giver within the jurisdictions of current medical practice and approved health laws. This may either a doctor physician, physician assistant, medical assistant, physiotherapist, registered nurse or midwife, student nurse, certified health care assistant.
- Apart from an assigned doctor, physician, physician assistant, medical assistant, physiotherapist all other care giver may be varied thus there be different persons who attend to patient or client at any period with patient or client been informed except special needs arose.
- When there is live-in. patient or client shall be responsible for the services fee of the care giver plus the accommodation with utility.
- Basic health care and assessment will be provided and necessary referral follows.
- Our patients or clients in critical situation; will be transported to nearest hospital or referral center otherwise patient or client shall be transported to his or her family clinic or doctor.
- The following are scope of our services; urethral catheter, nasogastric catheterization, intravenous catheter, intramuscular injection, intravenous, intra dermal and subcutaneous, oral medication, inhalation, instillation, topical oxygen medication, wound dressing, removal of stitches, 1cm_2cm suturing, assisting uncomplicated delivery, circumcision, care of bed sores, all types of feeding, first aid during poison ingestion, drowning, injuries, etc.
- Every procedure shall be documented in patient’s or client’s ledger. This shall be used for billing services and consumables and appraisal.
- The agency shall provide care givers with all equipment and consumables except with scarce equipment or patient or client have means of providing these resources or these items.
- Where death occurred relatives shall be immediately informed and then the patient’s or client’s doctor or the agency. Last offices shall be performed.
- In this case the next point of action shall be arranged between family members and the agency
- When there is sudden change of patient’s or client’s health status ambulance shall be called to transport patient or client except there is family car to be used.
- The service of ambulance shall be paid by the patient or client.
- Escorting patient or client to hospital shall be considered as form of service.
